What are your changeover days?
Our changeover day is on a Friday and book only for a full week (or multiples of weeks)
What are the arrival and departure times?
The farmhouse is available after 4pm. Departure is before 10am
Can we take a short break?
Sorry, but bookings are weekly only… on a Friday to Friday basis.
Are Changeover days at Christmas and New Year different from other times of the year?
Yes, we normally let for a full week commencing on December 21st for Christmas and then December 28th for the New Year. You can come for a shorter period, but you will need to pay the full week rate.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable at the time of booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. If you book less than 6 weeks from the start of your holiday then the full amount is due at the time of booking.
Is there a discount for only 2 people?
Yes, we offer a discount for only 2 people using just one bedroom… contact Ali direct prior to booking online to receive a 10% discount code.
Do I need holiday cancellation insurance?
We advise that you take out holiday cancellation insurance. This will cover your non-refundable deposit and also your full cost if you have a valid reason to cancel within 6 weeks of the start of your holiday… or for the interruption of your holiday.
Is the cottage suitable for those with limited mobility?
Yes, Arnbeg Farmstay is mostly on one level with no steps but it is not specifically equipped for disabled access.
Can I arrange a grocery delivery?
Yes you can. Tesco, Morrison’s, Sainsbury’s and Asda will deliver to Arnbeg. We ask that you are there to receive your delivery and that you give the supermarket your mobile number when you place your order… we cannot receive your delivery on your behalf.
Farm Animals and Feeding Rounds
Guests can join Ali on her animal rounds or arrange a farm tour later in the day
Guests must NOT enter the fields alone due to our insurance policy, in addition the animals do not know you and could hurt/injure you.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry… no… we do not allow pets as the house is surrounded by livestock.
Can we have friends/family over to see us when we are staying at Arnbeg Farmstay?
Only the maximum number (8) of persons are permitted in the house at any one time
